✨ Big week for AI Tools for Kids (and Google dropped Gemini 3!)

This has been one of the most exciting weeks since I started AI Tools for Kids.

Not only did I launch a ton of new content across the site, but Google dropped Gemini 3 and Nano Banana Pro. AI is moving fast, and I'm here to help you keep up and how you can use these tools with your kids.

Here's what's new.

3 Content Sections Launching Weekly

I'm structuring the site into three main content pillars. Each week, you'll get fresh content in all three areas:

1. AI Tool Reviews

Honest feedback from testing tools with my kids (ages 3, 5, and 8). No affiliate hype or corporate BS. Just real parent-to-parent guidance and family project ideas.

This week's new reviews:

All parent-tested. All with safety assessments. All with family project ideas.

2. Parent Guides (Launching Next Week)

Research-backed comparison articles addressing the questions parents actually have. Safety concerns. Tool comparisons. Honest assessments.

These are not "10 best tools" listicles. These are deep dives into specific questions like:

  • Which AI art tool is safest for kids under 10?
  • How do I monitor my teenager's use of ChatGPT for homework?
  • What are the real privacy risks with free AI tools?

First guides drop next week.

3. Family Projects

Step-by-step tutorials showing you how to use the latest AI tools with your kids. Real projects. Real testing. Real results.

This week we published: We Created Personalized School Stories to Calm First-Day Anxiety Using Gemini (following on from last week's newsletter post):

This Week in AI: Two Major Launches

If you're not paying attention to AI news, this week was massive. Here's what happened:

1. Google Launches Gemini 3

Google released Gemini 3, the newest version of their AI model. It has improved reasoning, multimodal abilities (text, images, video, audio, code), and a new "Deep Think" mode for complex problems.

For families, this means building custom educational apps (multiplication quizzes, flashcard systems, science simulations) through simple conversational prompts. No coding required.

The catch? It's designed for teens and adults (13+). Not for younger kids.

2. Nano Banana Pro Drops

Built on Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro is Google's new studio-grade image generation assistant. It blends multiple images, creates precise multilingual text, and produces 4K visuals.

It's integrated into Google products and creative tools like Figma and Adobe Firefly.

For creative families, this opens up possibilities for high-quality custom posters, storybook illustrations, and visual projects.

What's Coming Next Week

More content. More tools. More family projects.

Specifically:

  • First Parent Guide drops (safety-focused comparison)
  • New tool reviews (I'm testing 2 more this week)
  • Another family project tutorial (hint: it involves animation)

I'm scaling content production while maintaining quality. Testing everything with my kids before I recommend it to you.
