Happy Sunday! Here's what we've been working on.
1. New Family Project: AI Celebrity Selfie Videos
When my son saw the viral "AI celebrity selfie" trend on social media - videos of people appearing to take selfies with celebrities on film sets - he had one simple request:
"Dad, can we make one with me and all my favourite footballers?"
So we got to work and this is what we ended up with:
Using Nano Banana Pro for AI image generation and Kling 2.6 for video animation (both through Higgsfield), we created something that genuinely looks like behind-the-scenes footage from a professional football production. He loved this project!
2. This Week: Deep Dive on Nano Banana Pro
The celebrity selfie project led me to write a comprehensive review of Nano Banana Pro - Google's flagship AI image generator that made all of this possible.
I tested it across our three kids (ages 3, 5, 8) for:
- Custom coloring pages from kids' imaginations
- Animated short films (the Nemo project from 2 weeks ago)
- Educational posters with accurate labeled diagrams
- Viral video trends (celebrity selfies)
